Meet Principal Parish Talley

"Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today." Before joining Miles Jones Elementary as principal, I served as the assistant principal at Bowling Green Elementary for the 2023-2024 school year. In this role, I focused on implementing innovative curriculum initiatives and fostering a positive school culture. My career in education spans over 14 years, including positions as a classroom teacher, math coach, and teacher mentor. I hold a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Richmond and a Bachelor’s in Mathematics from Virginia State University.

Education should be an empowering experience that equips students with the critical thinking skills, creativity, and resilience needed to navigate and shape the world. Enhancing a collaborative and inclusive learning environment can inspire students to reach their full potential and become lifelong learners. I’m committed to ensuring every student and staff member feels valued, supported, and empowered to achieve their dreams and goals.
